URBAN DECAY X GWEN STEFANI PALETTE REVIEW

Hey guys! I thought it was about time that I did another review, especially on a product I've been using for a while. I got the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani palette for Christmas from my parents and brought it to college so I could test it out. After using it for a few months, I have developed an opinion on it.

First of all, it is not my favorite palette. I brought this palette and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette to college and reach for the Too Faced one much more.

The first 3 shades (Blonde, Bathwater, and Skimp) are too close to my skin tone so they don't show up very well. Blonde has a slight shimmer, Bathwater is as shimmery light gold, and skimp is matte. Personally, the don't really show up on my skin tone so I tend not to use them. The next shade, Steady, a shimmery copper, is too orange for my skin tone and doesn't flatter me. Punk, a matte burgundy, is absolutely beautiful, but looks almost black when you swatch it.

Starting with the next row, Baby, is again too warm for my skin tone. The 2 matte browns, Anaheim and Zone, are ones that I constantly reach for because they aren't too dark or light. They are the perfect crease color. Stark, again, is basically the same color as my skin tone and doesn't show up. Serious, a matte grey, is just a staple eyeshadow color.

I only use one in the last row, which is the matte black, Knockout. This is great for deepening up your eyeshadow or using just for eyeliner. The other 4 colors are glitters, which I tend not to use. They are also a little too bright for me.

Do you guys have this palette? What are your thoughts on it? I'd love to know your opinion.

EXPLORING CHICAGO PHOTO DIARY | SCIENCE & INDUSTRY MUSEUM

Hey guys! Recently, my friend's family came to Chicago and invited me to go to the Science and Industry Museum with them. I had never been so I jumped at the opportunity. I was afraid it was going to be too science-y for me, but I loved it! It was a super long day, but I'm so glad I went! I can now check this museum off my Chicago bucket list!

A DAY IN MY LIFE | FRESHMAN COLLEGE STUDENT

7:45 - My first alarm goes. There are either 2 things that happen. One, my body is used to waking up at this time, so I just lay in bed and go on my phone until I absolutely have to get up.
The other option is that I hit the snooze button and fall back to sleep until ultimately, I force myself out of bed at 8:20. This is the latest time I will allow myself to stay in bed.

8:20 - Brush teeth, wash face, do skincare routine

8:30 - Do my makeup

8:45 - Out the door

9 - Breakfast at the dining hall

9:20 - Class

10:20 - Take the shuttle to the downtown campus

11:30 - Class

12:30 - Take the shuttle back to the main campus

12:50 - Lunch at the dining hall or food court

1:30-3 - Me time. During this time, I like to de-stress from the day by watching YouTube or Netflix. If not, I will take some time to work on my blog.

3-6 - Homework if I have it. Surprisingly, I haven't had almost any homework in my classes, which is great. As finals approach, I will take this time to start making study guides for tests or going over my notes.

6:15 - Dinner at the dining hall

7:30 - Workout. On Wednesdays, I like to go to a 7:30 Zumba class, but other nights I'm sorta just doing my own thing. Maybe I'll go run on the treadmill for a little bit and then come back to my room and do some body-weight exercises.

8:45 - Shower

9-11:15 - This time is either for homework, face-timing friends, working on my blog, or chilling. Recently, I've been working on my blog because I am trying to write as many posts as I can for the upcoming weeks since I will be so busy.

11:15-12 - This is normally around the time where I go to sleep. If I don't have a lot to do, 11:15 is the earliest, but a lot of the times I will stay up later watching Netflix. It really depends on the day and how much work I have for my classes.

PHOTO DIARY | SCOUT COFFEE IN SAN LUIS OBISPO

Hey guys! The next stop my friend and I made in San Luis Obispo was Scout Coffee downtown. I guess it's a favorite because when we went, there were so many people there. I absolutely loved the vibe that it had. They even sold stationary, which I couldn't resist taking a picture of.

I hope you guys enjoy these pictures!

#REAL TALK... BOYS

Boys, oh what a topic.
I don't intend for this post to be a cry for help, but more a peak into my life.
I'm writing this post for the other girls out there who are who seek love but never receive it.
I'm sure we've all met that boy, you know who I'm talking about.
The one who is so good looking, you think, "why would he be going after me?"
He makes you feel like you're one of those girls,
the types of girls who have a guy wanting her like the drop of a hat.
You're talking and he seems interested, but then he doesn't,
and all of a sudden, you're up late trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
But he's interested again.
But your friends know better.
They know what he's like.
You plead to them, "but what if I'm different?"
but secretly, you know you're not.
But you cannot give up the feeling of being wanted.
Of feeling appreciated.
So you continue.
Until you're not different.
And you can't bear to tell your friends,
because you know they were right all along.

For all my fellow girls, or boys, out there. Don't let someone play mind games with you. They seem great, but then they don't respond. They'll want to hang out with you, but cancel last minute.

Don't waste your time on guys who don't make time to hang out with you. Don't waste your time on guys who won't go out of their way to say in the dining hall. Don't waste your time on boys who don't text back and leave you guessing if they even like you.

I can't even explain how much

PHOTO DIARY | PIRATES COVE SAN LUIS OBISPO

Hey lovely! Over spring break, I went to visit my friend at college in San Luis Obispo, California. I visited her over Christmas break and loved it there so much I knew I had to come back. The weekend that we spent together was one of the best. One of the first places we went was to Pirates Cove, which is a cove that leads you to a cliff. There will be 2 more photo diaries coming up from this trip. Stay tuned!

I'm super happy with these pictures and I hope you like them too!

WHAT I'M MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT SPRING IN CHICAGO

As much I love Chicago, I don't love the winter weather. As it warms up, it makes me hopeful for all the things my friends and I will be able to do without freezing. Spring is by far one of my favorite seasons, besides the rain. I love bright colors and blooming flowers.

Below is a list of things I'm looking forward to as the weather warms up.

- pastels
- longer days
- iced coffee
- floral prints
- brighter and happier days
- putting my coats, boots and gloves to rest
- being able to explore the city more without freezing
- reading a book / doing homework outside
- walking along lakeshore path
- flowers

What is your favorite part about Spring? What are you looking forward to doing as the weather warms up?

NEW TUMBLR COLOR THEME | APRIL 2016

Hey guys! Recently, I have have been really enjoying doing monthly themes on my Tumblr. I am someone who likes a lot of different things and can't really stick to one genre. I post girly things, not girly things, the beach, and other things.

Therefore, I decided to start filtering what I post by color. In February, it was red and pink. In March, it was blue. And now in April, it's back to pink since I'm super obsessed with this color now. I think making my Tumblr one color makes it look more cohesive.

I'm really enjoying this and I hope you do too! Check out the link to my Tumblr at the bottom of this post if you're interested!

Down below I made an inspiration board of pink things that I'm loving at the moment that inspired this color theme on my Tumblr. P.S.: None of these photos are mine. I got them off Pinterest.

Check out my Tumblr if you're interested!
